<< [home] [indonesian] >> Q: How do I stand on the Word for my finances? A: God told Joshua, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8). From this one scriptures, we can see that God’s prosperity will work only in the life of the believer who is committed to the Word. God’s Word must be first place! Matthew 6:33 also tells us, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Our Heavenly Father takes pleasure in the prosperity of His children (Psalm 35:27). Third John 2 declares that it is God’s will above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. So you can rest assured that God has made a way for you to prosper, and as with every other answer we seek, the Word of God is the source. The laws of prosperity are based on your obedience to God’s Word. By seeking first God’s kingdom, you observe how to do the Word of God, which will cause your way to become prosperous, and then you have good success. There are no shortcuts. Seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness is a priority. Once you’ve learned what the Word says about tithing and giving offerings, and you’ve been obedient to do those things, then begin to claim the blessings of a tither. Begin to believe you receive a harvest on all the seed you have sown. When you have made the quality decision to put God’s Word first place, YOU CAN STAND. Look in the Word and find every promise you can relating to prosperity where finances are concerned. Then stand on them in faith – speaking the Word over your finances. When you have a knowing in your heart that God’s Word is true, it doesn’t matter what trial Satan brings your way, you know the end result is victory. You will not have to ask, “How long do I stand?” You’ll know that having done all to stand, stand. The force of patience (standing firm on what God has said is yours) undergirds your faith and keeps it applied until the result is manifested. God’s prosperity will come to you in abundance. Just because you didn’t see the manifestation of what you prayed for immediately does not mean God’s Word isn’t true – because it is. Don’t give up.
